Who Is Behind GrooveFunnels?

So before we dive into what exactly GrooveFunnels entails, it is always very important to have a look at the track record of the person or team behind the software platform, as this will often determine whether the software platform is worth your consideration or not. Of course Mike Filsaime is not a lone ranger, but one member of a team, but my reason for focusing on Mike Filsaime is that I am very aware of Mike’s track record and I have come to know him as someone that brings brilliant products to the market and someone that stands 100% behind his products.
I remember many years ago when WebinarJam was first launched I was a beta tester for WebinarJam and I paid a mere $97 for lifetime access to WebinarJam, not realising that WebinarJam would become one of the biggest and most popular webinar platforms in the world. Without further ado, let’s now briefly look at all of the features that GrooveFunnels has to offer. Although I can take a good guess at what the future developments entails I would stick to expanding on the GrooveFunnels features that has already been rolled out or future developments mentioned in detail. In future I will expand on this article once new information becomes available about the above mentioned features that are still in the pipeline.

When you think GroovePages, think ClickFunnels. GroovePages entitles you to build engaging web pages, funnels and landing pages. There are hundreds of pre-populated templates for you to choose from that can easily be customised, or should you wish, you can start with a blank canvas. GroovePages is a simple drag and drop site builder with an unrivalled amount of ready-made site builder elements. The main pre-populated categories you can choose from are, single pages, complete sites or funnels. With a paid GrooveFunnels account there are no limitations in regards to the amount of videos you can host, however you are limited in terms of the amount of bandwidth and amount of storage available. On a paid account they start you off on a 100GB of storage and a 100GB of bandwidth available to you per month. The maximum video upload size is set at 5GB. If more storage is required, you can simply upgrade.
GrooveKart
When you think GrooveKart, think Shopify. GrooveKart amazingly entitles you to build unlimited GrooveKart stores/shops even with a free GrooveFunnels account. The difference comes into play when considering online credit card rates as well as third party processing fees. With a paid GrooveFunnels account for example the third party processor fees is at 0% whereas the third party processing fee is 2% on a free account. But You Only Talk About The Positive Stuff. Did I Not Hear Some Bad Press About GrooveFunnels?
You are perfectly correct. I have seen some very good press out there and also press that are a lot less positive about GrooveFunnels, but the bad press I saw was from quite some time ago. So why is that? Let me explain ….
Well it is pretty simple. GrooveFunnels has been in beta for almost two and a half years. GrooveFunnels has taken on a massive project with their aim to provide an all-in-one marketing platform that provides online marketers with every tool they will ever need to run a successful online business.
Now just think for a moment about something like ClickFunnels or ActiveCampaign, just to mention a couple of examples. How many years has it taken them to perfect their software? Many years of course and ClickFunnels only specialises in funnels and ActiveCampaign only specialises in email marketing.
So what has been happening is that straight from the word go, let’s say in 2020 people wanted to compare e.g. GrooveMail with ActiveCampaign and expected it to be just as awesome as ActiveCampaign right from the start, despite that it was super early days for GrooveFunnels back then. So back then people that tested/tried certain apps of GrooveFunnels found it to be very buggy, which is perfectly understandable for a software platform that is still in beta, but those reports are mostly from 2020 in the early days and understandably so.
The thing about people are that they are used to instant results and often do not think any further than that. This is part of the reason why GrooveFunnels gave away free lifetime accounts and why they are offering the Lifetime Platinum Deal to those that decided to back their massive project financially while still in beta and GrooveFunnels has always been very transparent about it. They knew if they were not going to get loads of people on board for free, they will never be able to properly test their platform if there is no one to test their platform and who is going to pay loads of money for an incomplete project while still in beta? If you watched the video “Meet The Founders” further up in this article you would have noticed that the founders Mike Filsaime and John Cornetta mentioned that GrooveFunnels easily outshines their number 1 competitor, but then did not tell us who this competitor is. They just said, you have certainly heard the name, you know who they are.
So I am not perfectly sure who they are referring to here, but only two names comes to mind and that is ClickFunnels and Builderall and if I was to put any money on it, they are probably referring to ClickFunnels. Both ClickFunnels and Builderall became very popular in recent years, but what they offer is slightly different.
The main focus of ClickFunnels is to build high converting sales funnels that converts your visitors into leads and then customers, whereas Builderall is more a website builder that also offers an email marketing solution and gives you access to a messenger chatbot.
When considering this, it is a far cry from all the functionality that GrooveFunnels has to offer. Saying this however, there is something important I would like to mention in this regard.
The guy that is behind ClickFunnels absolutely matters and his name is Russell Brunson and he is one of the most successful online marketers in the world and he wrote many books including “Expert Secrets“, “Dotcom Secrets“, “Traffic Secrets” etc. I am absolutely devouring Russell Brunson’s audio books on Audible during the week when driving to work. It is the perfect pass time when you get stuck in traffic and I highly recommend Russell’s books. They are brilliant!

As sales funnels is the only thing Russell specialises in when it comes to ClickFunnels you can be assured that ClickFunnels is a robust battle tested, refined and high quality, as well as high converting funnel builder. So if you are only interested in the creation of sales funnels then I can wholeheartedly recommend ClickFunnels, as just like I am familiar with Mike Filsaime’s track record in the same way I am very familiar with Russell Brunson’s track record.

So where does this leave GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels then? Well as already mentioned GrooveFunnels do not only focus on sales funnels but so many other aspects, as documented in this article, making it a complete business solution for online marketers. ClickFunnels only takes care of the sales funnel aspect. When considering only the sales funnel aspect I do believe that GrooveFunnels may eventually surpass ClickFunnels in terms of technology/functionality, but of course at this present time ClickFunnels has been battle tested and refined over many years, whereas GrooveFunnels is still pretty new on the block and whereas ClickFunnels only specialises in sales funnels, GrooveFunnels focuses on so many other aspects too.
In terms of the capability that GrooveFunnels offers overall, there are currently no competitors in the marketplace, as no one has ever attempted to deliver a complete online marketing solution in the way that GrooveFunnels do through their 18 apps and counting.

It does sound too good to be true, but it is real, so I needed to read several lines twice to make sure I got it right. It certainly seems that Groovefunnels makes the life of an online entrepreneur much easier. I especially liked the Groove Blog part that eliminates the need to install so many plugins. In regards to GrooveFunnels being more suitable for advanced internet marketers? Well, not necessarily. Yes, there may be some tools here that beginner online marketers would not immediately have a need for but in regards to the email marketing suite, website-builder, funnel builder etc. it is all very intuitive and important for both beginner and the more advanced online marketers. GroovePages in fact is pretty much drag and drop so you are not required to know any code whatsoever, as is the case with WordPress. Partha, you have got such a good understanding of what I tried to communicate via this article that I honestly have nothing to add. However, one thing I can say is that many years ago I signed up to Webinarjam when it was still in the beta phase and I paid next to nothing to get lifetime unrestricted access to Webinarjam, never knowing that Webinarjam will become $999 per year for the Enterprise subscription lol. I have a lot of online marketers that are incredibly jealous that I save $999 per year not ever having to pay a cent towards Webinarjam ever again. Webinarjam is also by Mark Filsaime so I know exactly how Mark Filsaime rolls and I know this is no joke. Mark Filsaime has been around for a very long time and his credibility speaks for itself. He certainly knows what he is doing and I therefore believe that GrooveFunnels will be a major success. Although small business owners trust in Getresponse, Aweber etc. as being reliable, you cannot really put them in the same category as ActiveCampaign for example where very targeted sequencing according to tags are possible, which also integrates with SMS and broadcasting functionality too.
I am not thinking of replacing WordPress at this point in time with GrooveFunnels, but I will use GrooveFunnels for all the other tools that it offers. There is nothing stopping me from using GrooveFunnels to build funnels, do very targeted email sequencing, utilise live streaming, live webinars, automated webinars, build Shopify type shops and build membership sites etc.

You are certainly correct in calling GrooveFunnels a complete system for all of your online marketing needs. It is indeed a very clever idea by Mark Filsaime to meet all of our online marketing requirements under one roof.
This is an interesting concept. It’s like a one-stop place for all your marketing needs. But does it teach you the foundation of building your business from scratch? This seems to just focus on marketing. I don’t trust other alternative autoresponders. I have Aweber and have been using it for 15 years. Also, I’ve been using WordPress platform for just as long. I wouldn’t trust any other platform. Here’s the thing, when I was a newbie, Groovefunnels would have seemed like a dream come true. But after I found Wealthy Affiliate, anything else pales in comparison.

The GrooveFunnels review is indeed comprehensive. The main reason for so much information is that there is so much to cover, as GrooveFunnels consists of 18 different platforms currently and more will be added soon. In regards to GrooveFunnels possibly being a solution for more advanced marketers and not simply bloggers… My response to this will be yes and no. First of all yes I do understand that those that are mostly blogging will not utilise most of the other tools of GrooveFunnels, but then we need to remember when we consider GroovePages and GrooveBlog we are looking at page load speeds of 1.1 seconds and no hassles with WordPress sites that constantly breaks or constantly needs to be updated.
The website building process is very intuitive and super quick as it is pretty much drag and drop and everything inside the WYSIWIG builder is highly customisable. Do not forget that you get lifetime hosting which literally means you will never ever have to pay for hosting again. When you later on become more advanced in regards to your online marketing then you can slowly but surely start utilising all the other platforms that GrooveFunnels has to offer.
For me personally I will experiment creating a new website at some point with GrooveFunnels to see if it is possible for me to gradually start moving away from WordPress. I just recently bought GrooveFunnels, so of course I still have some WordPress sites out there and it will probably not be that easy for me to make the switch regarding my existing websites.

Although paying $1,997 one-time is not my thing, it’s too good to be true if we purchase GrooveFunnels to build an online business. There are different payment plans. There is no need to do the $1997 one-off payment. There are two more options. Option 2 is 2x $999 and option 3 is 3x $699.
Now as I explained in the article, I invested in GrooveFunnels not only because I can see the value in the software they offer and the potential savings, but I also invested in GrooveFunnels because of their very lucrative affiliate program.
Let me give you some perspective. 40% of $1997 = $798.80. So shall we make it a round figure. So there you go, if you generate one sale as an affiliate you earn pretty much $800. This is only first tier commissions we are talking about. You earn a further 10% on second tier affiliates.

I have not heard of Groove funnels before but it seems to come very complete, with things I had never even heard of. Seeing that it has been in beta phase for so long can only mean that the end product will come out excellent. A beta-period serves to find errors and improve, and a beta-period for more than 2 years must have certainly done that. I would like to try it out, but I’m not sure if I have enough knowledge to use it. Is this for beginners or is it more apt for advanced online marketers?

There is so much in this package it’s unbelievable, and every aspect of running an online business has been covered. GrooveBlog sounds interesting, but having used Wordpress for so long, I’d feel uneasy at changing my blogging platform. However, GroovePages, and GrooveMail sound great. Yes Kathy, I know GrooveFunnels had its battles in the beginning as while in beta in the early days it was not really usable. But now 2 and a half years later now that they coming out of beta I believe GrooveFunnels will be massive in the future and I think will in future be a lot more than $299 per month that will start kicking in on the 23rd of February.
That is why I decided to pay $1997 once for platinum lifetime as think I would kick myself later if I didn’t do it right now.

GrooveFunnels even has a feature for webinars (GrooveWebinars) and for marketplace (GrooveFunnels Marketplace) among others. These features seem very different to me. A business that sells digital products for example, will be very interested in the webinar feature and not at all in the physical products feature. Is there a way to sort of ‘cherry pick’ the features that a business needs rather than pay a full price for the full package?

This is a really thorough and detailed review of GrooveFunnels. And this $1997 deal is awesome! This is virtually everything you’ll ever need to start and run a successful internet business, and, as you say, you don’t have to sign up for several platforms, other software, or marketing tools because it’s all in one place.
It appears that the best time to join is right now, during the beta phase. And the lifetime offer is simply too amazing to pass up.
I know for a fact that quizzes and surveys are a great for selling products inside a funnel. Also, they are also good for interactions with your email subscribers. Plus, it gives you the chance to learn more about them, and what they might need to solve their problems. Which equals more sales!

I will quickly clarify a couple of things as well just in case I was not clear enough about it and also answer some of the questions you had in the comment you left.
The second tier affiliate commission of 10% will only be offered to Platinum Lifetime Members and not to anyone else ever again and this expires on the 22nd of February 2022 (I got mine on a payment plan). This offer of the 10% second tier affiliate commission will not even be made available to those that will start paying $299 per month from the 23rd of February onwards. That is why I could not say no to this amazing offer.
What is interesting is that a lot of people make a lot more money from the 10% second tier commissions than they do on the 40% first tier commissions as people that sign up via your affiliate link, the cookies are hard coded to you for life. So any sales that anyone in your downline generates (those that signed up to Groove via you) you will earn 10% commission on any sales that your downline generates and that is even true for Free Lifetime Members. Free Lifetime Members will get 20% commission on first tier sales they generate and you will still get 10% of that as a Platinum Lifetime Member.

Some years ago GrooveFunnels were bad during the beta phase, pretty unusable so maybe a blessing in disguise that you did not look into it back then lol as many people do not understand that during beta phase things are not gonna be great and so they lose interest.
GrooveFunnels has come a long way since and I am perfectly convinced this is going to become the go-to tool for many online businesses and digital marketers in the future.
Think lifetime hosting for free and unlimited e-com stores without monthly fees like shopify to highlight just a couple of features.
In terms of it being overkill, for sure, but you can simply just use the tools you want – keep it simple. If/when ready to expand to other/more advanced features then you can do so in future when the need arise.

Is there any way to mix and match the products and get pricing for what you need?
Actually GrooveFunnels has 3 options now. The Free option, The Starter $79 per month option and the Pro option at $239 per month. These are the annual prices though. If you do monthly it is $99 per month or $299 per month. These are for those that sign up from the 23rd of February 2022 onwards. GrooveFunnels were very secretive about this up until this point. I did not realise they will be bringing out cheaper packages as well.
Great breakdown of Groovefunnels, I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of them yet.
I need to reread through this again but seems to be what I’ve been looking for.

Groovefunnels sounds very interesting. I am a blog writer and have had issues with my themes in WordPress. Also, I just began this career about a year ago and am very new to this type of job. If I choose to sign up for the free version of Groovefunnels, would I be able to transfer my entire website over including the domain name and everything else I pay for through WordPress and Wealthy Affiliates?
I am not tech savvy so I need a lot of basic questions answered. I do not want to risk losing my website even if I back it up with a plugin from Wordpress. Any ideas?

I am afraid GrooveFunnels has its own platform and technology and this is not WordPress. The idea is exactly that, to get away from WordPress which can often cause issues like you are currently experiencing with plugins that do not work well together etc.
For this reason you cannot transfer a WordPress site as is to GrooveFunnels, as it is not built on WP technology.
So I am in the same position, I have several websites on WP and will keep going with them on WP. I may decide to build some of them over on GrooveFunnels but the idea at this point in time is to build all my future websites there, as just like you, I had enough of struggling with WordPress. As we speak I am struggling with my Payment Gateway on one of my websites which is not working at the moment and has cost me a lot of money as a result and I am struggling to get it fixed and I suspect it is a conflict between plugins.
With GrooveFunnels you never again have to download or update any plugins and it is built with the idea of simplifying the creation of websites – basically drag and drop of done for you elements and templates to choose from to make the website creation process a breeze.
Mostly what I will be using GrooveFunnels for at the moment is for all their other amazing tools and integrations you have been reading about. Wow! I think you covered this topic very well. Even though I have been publishing a couple of years now, I am still learning. I only do this part time because of health issues. What would you say would be the place to start with groovefunnels for a techno challenged individual such as myself? I spend my time researching and then writing a post. But I know I need to keep learning in this world of affiliate marketing or I will be left in the dust.
What you said is very true – we need to adapt to the times and technology but at the same time what you are doing may be best for now as you need/want to be focused. The danger is that if you have too many tools that you can start jumping around too much instead of being focused. Consistent blogging is important, or consistent video creation etc. But one blog article here and one video created there and one webinar there does not give Google the consistency it wants.

Hi Schalk, I actually come across Groovefunnels last year I never really understood it very well if truth be told. Although, you have definitely put a very good review together here. Very in depth and if only I had the $1397 to spare I would definitely give this a go. So many products/courses I see recommend clickfunnels which is by no means cheap and most likely quite a hindrance on those who are not making enough commissions to cover their monthly outgoings. Definitely, an insane deal so fair play to you if you have paid this – it is a shame the offer is not still available now (I don’t think).

I am not a fan of done for you marketing ploys, but you do have a very good review on GrooveFunnels. I have actually seen it a few times and since I am already enrolled in ClickFunnels and not a fan of the pricey upsells, I have passed on it every time I have seen it. I have, in the last few months, spent a small fortune on various marketing tools I am trying out, but as we all know, those are paid yearly and so next year I’ll have to pay for them all again. I am in the process of opening my own merchandise store for custom-made items as well as having my blogging/affiliate marketing business and will also be offering tech classes and consultations at my office. The eCommerce tools, membership site ability, and email tool really caught my attention so I clicked to get the account setup. I looked at the Lifetime account and it offered GrooveDeisgnedPro free for life as a free bonus for upgrading. I need a design program for my merch business, which we also paid for PhotoShop recently, but again that is a yearly upgrade as well.
I paid for the Lifetime membership, which is currently $2497. If it works out, then it will be worth the money even though it wasn’t the $1397 mentioned in the article…I am assuming was the price while it was in Beta.

I believe I mentioned in the article that I bought GrooveFunnels Lifetime Platinum deal for $1997 not $1397 but you are perfectly correct that this was the price for the Platinum Lifetime Deal when GrooveFunnels was still in the beta phase. Strangely enough you are correct that GrooveFunnels was actually $1397 in the early stages of the GrooveFunnels beta phase and was indeed selling for $1397 at some point, so not sure if I maybe mentioned something about that price in the article somewhere or whether it is just coincidence?
I need to add that with your GrooveFunnels Premium+ Lifetime Deal you got a whole lot more than I did with the GrooveFunnels Platinum Lifetime Deal as I believe I am capped at 30 000 email contacts where your offer is insane with unlimited contacts lol and on top of that you get Designer Pro thrown in too which is such an awesome tool. I watched a whole webinar on Designer Pro and how to use it and I must confess that I thought long and hard about upgrading to get Designer Pro and to upgrade to unlimited contacts too. If remember correctly I could upgrade if I paid another $500 but in the end I decided against it for now, but may very well go for it if a promotional offer in this regard comes my way once again in future.

Honestly, when looking for a review on GrooveFunnels I did not expect to find one so comprehensive. You answered questions I did not know I had! I realize GrooveFunnels has nothing to do with WordPress but if one were to make the switch how hard is that to do? I’ve got my whole business set up on WordPress so I am not sure how/if making the change is even possible much less feasible. Obviously, there are more benefits to using GrooveFunnels but I am not sure how to switch from one to the other. Is it possible to only use some features along side WordPress?

I also have a lot of my online business running on WordPress and I will not for example now suddenly switch to GrooveBlog unless I will choose to start a whole new website from scratch when considering a new niche etc. What you are saying is perfectly correct that I use the functionality of GrooveFunnels alongside my WordPress very effectively in order to boost sales.
GrooveFunnels can be used to build sales funnels, do live streaming, run live webinars, run automated webinars, email marketing automation, setting up your own affiliate marketing platform for your own created products, create a membership site to sell your own courses, set up e-commerce stores similar to Shopify via Groovekart etc. So a simple way of thinking about it is to think about what online marketing tools you are currently using alongside WordPress to compliment your online marketing business. Whatever additional online marketing tools you are currently using can be replaced by GrooveFunnels.

That’s quite a catalogue of services offered. You mention that costs depend on the features you buy, but I don’t see the prices listed. Do I need to sign up to see a price list?
Yes, indeed. Once you hit the button to sign up to GrooveFunnels for free you will be redirected to a page with one time offers where you will see the price list and different packages on offer. If you decline the one time offers then you will be able to upgrade via your Free GrooveFunnels dashboard at any time and will then be presented with offers that are less favourable than those that were offered on the one time offer page. Instead of for example being able to upgrade to Creator+, Pro+, Premium+ etc. you will now only be able to upgrade to the “Creator”, the “Pro” or “Premium” plan etc.

So if I understand it correctly, GrooveFunnels is nothing like WA in that it offers the complete package for our online business. In WA, there is this WordPress, themes, plugins, email marketing, funnels, Shopify, WooCommerce, etc. that you need to subscribe to all of them. But in Groovefunnels, they are all under one roof! Now, this is interesting.

Answer: There are claims that it is possible to migrate your existing WordPress website to GrooveFunnels and there are tools available for that, but to be honest, in my experience you are better off to build from scratch as GrooveFunnels is not really created to work with WordPress but to be a competitor. Saying this I am more referring to GrooveBlog being a competitor to WordPress really as of course a lot of the other tools on offer by GrooveFunnels can seamlessly integrate with your WordPress website e.g. GrooveVideo, GrooveFunnels, GrooveMail etc. In fact I personally have no intention to move my established WordPress sites over to Groove but instead I use GrooveFunnels’ extensive array of marketing tools to compliment my existing established online business built on WordPress. Migrating a domain to GrooveFunnels should not be an issue at all and neither the integration with WordPress.
2. Are there plugins available in Groovefunnels too, or, really, is it a very complete system baked all in?
There are no plugins at all that you ever have to worry about. How wonderful it is that there is never any outdated plugins that constantly needs to be updated. The beauty of Groove is that you only have one developer and therefore all the marketing tools of GrooveFunnels are created to work seamlessly with one another. The big issue with WordPress at times is that a lot of WordPress plugins are developed by several different third party companies and as a result they don’t always work that well together and may cause conflicts which can result in website issues. With Groove you never have to worry about compatibility issues.
3. Is there a plugin for Groovefunnels in WordPress?
No, but as I mentioned there is no reason why sales funnels created with GrooveFunnels cannot be integrated with your existing WordPress website. This pretty much works in the same way as softwares like ClickFunnels. There is also no reason why you cannot incorporate Groovemail to handle your automated email marketing campaigns or to capture new subscribers. Even Groovekart which is like Shopify can be incorporated with your WordPress site should you wish your WordPress website shop to link to GrooveKart for example instead of for example integrating with WooCommerce. The list continues with so many other GrooveFunnels’ features that can be integrated with WordPress.

Wow! What a comprehensive article. I had heard of GrooveFunnels before so I was glad to read about all the details of the program. I am still a novice at blogging and am hesitant to switch to something like this especially since I am not tech savvy. Once you sign up with the free account, can you transfer a current blog and all of it’s substance onto the FunnelBlog section of GrooveFunnels? I suspect there are different themes to choose from, or does it automatically transfer all your information into their own theme? As you can see I am not very savvy. I appreciate all the information. However, I still haven’t earned any money yet from my site so I really can’t justify spending that kind of money until I am actually earning more money. I have only been really working on my site for about 6 months so that isn’t very long yet. I need to wait until I get more traffic, more buyers and more everything.

Hi, John. I understood there are some tools available where you can for example import a WordPress site into Groove and probably vice versa but to be honest if I just take Wordpress as an example….. Groove was not really developed to work with WordPress, in fact GrooveBlog is probably more seen as a competitor to Wordpress and therefore understandably not designed to work together. For this reason, just as is the case with so many other platforms it is better to build a website over from scratch should you decide to completely change platform. Others may find ways around it, but that is my honest opinion.
John the thing is that I still use WordPress as at the moment I believe that WordPress is battle tested over the years and my existing websites are all built on WordPress, so I will not be moving it over to Groove. There is no reason to do so. What I use GrooveFunnels for is for all the other functionality that compliments my WordPress sites and these Groove tools can very easily integrate with WordPress for example sales funnels built with GrooveFunnels, the integration of email marketing via Groovemail, live streaming, webinars, support desk functionality and the list continues. Pretty much an all-in-one online marketing solution to replace all the additional tools you pay a fortune for on a monthly basis.
This GrooveFunnels review is the most comprehensive I have ever come across. Well done.

I think you pretty much summarised everything quite perfectly in regards to GrooveFunnels which leaves me with not much to add. It is pretty insane to think that someone could earn $300k in one year from GrooveFunnels alone, but that is indeed reality and I don’t believe this to be an isolated case at all. In fact I am sure there are some GrooveFunnels affiliates that earned/earns even more.
yes, he got the $300K as he was promoting JVZoo & Warrior+ products and has a lot of leads already and YT channel and at the same time he run YT ads that convert the traffic of his competitor’s using smart app.
He really crash it that year!
The secret is to build your email list. Once you have that email list then online marketing becomes pretty easy. It is just a numbers game. But building up that legitimate email list is not easy.
